In Foundations, students ages 7 through 12 are introduced to the progressive structure of a traditional ballet class. Students practice the basics of ballet vocabulary and movement, with greater attention to detail in all areas and develop the focus, alignment, control, balance, rotation, coordination, spatial awareness, and musicality to successfully transition into our Classical Ballet Program.

Students who wish to enroll into our Foundations Program must attend a placement class.

During the placement class, we look for:

• a genuine interest and excitement in learning ballet

• a willingness to work hard

• the ability to follow instructions and apply corrections

• physical readiness to ensure that training will be safe and healthy
