Classical Ballet Program

AUDITION

All new students must attend a screening in order to be considered for enrollment. This screening will resemble a private audition with our Studio Director.

During the audition, we look for:

  • a genuine interest and excitement in learning ballet

  • a willingness to work hard

  • the ability to follow instructions and apply corrections

  • physical readiness to ensure that training will be safe and healthy

Once accepted into the program, students are assigned to one of five levels based on their age, experience, and skill level, beginning with Level 1 for ages 10 and culminating with Level 5 for students ages 16 and up. As students progress through the levels, classes increase in difficulty, preparing students for professional ballet careers.

Students joining our Classical Ballet Program must be prepared to prioritize ballet as their primary activity. Classes meet 4 to 6 days per week. Daily attendance is mandatory.

Progress is assessed annually and determines class placement for the following school year. Students may spend more than one year in each level.
